I know that beans and onions are not good companion plants.

I just harvested onions from one raised bed and I'd love to plant some bush beans in that space. Anybody planted beans after their onion harvest?

I'm going to turn that bed this evening and let it sit idle for a week. What do you think?

I'd mix in some composted manure and go ahead and plant the beans. I don't think there will be any residual effect from the onions.

Thank you. I'm gonna go ahead and try that. I've turned the bed. I'll add a little compost and plant next week.
