I've had a female seabuckthorn for six years. When shipped, it was HUGE, over five feet.

The first plant we received died, as it was a small spindly cutting, nothing so wonderful.

The nursery's return policy alllowed a replacement, but they were out of stock, and so the nursery placed our replacement order on hold, initially.

Then, they sent us an almond tree from their stock with the same name as the Seabuckthorn we had ordered! (Titan)

Finally, the next year, probably to make up for all the other stuff, we were sent a HUGE plant that had apparently been used to take cuttings from.

We just found a male this last season. No berries yet! : (

Any suggestions on growing this? I know they HATE nitrogen, but aside from that, it's in a 20 gallon container, the mix is high in sand.

    Anything else to know??

I have never heard of that plant. Evidently they are not native to Texas. What is it exactly ?

Thanks for the link, bunkie. I'd never heard of this one either.

But I don't think it would grow here. It's not cold enough according to the article.
