I ordered one last year. It seems it does best in humid Florida but I am in Ky. When it came it had 2 leaves. It now has 3 but is not much bigger than when it first arrived. I am interested to know if anyone has had any luck growing this further north? At this rate I will not have flowers for 10 yrs! :(

I have seen them in plant catalogs but never tried them. Do you have it in full sun, since it is a tropical you might find a very sunny place outside for the summer, maybe with a little shade from the afternoon sun if it gets really hot there.

It has probably been using it's growing energy to put out lots of new roots since you received it, check to make sure it hasn't become pot bound. They don't bloom until late summer/early fall so maybe there is still a chance for lots of above ground growth and blooms later in the season.

Oh and being a tropical it expects to have moist soil, not soggy but don't let it dry out either.
