It blooms at the same time as 'Happy Returns' and 'Stella d'Oro', Stokesia, Nepeta (in MA, late June to mid July, depending on the year). It grows about 24" tall, the flowers are ruffled and very thick petalled. Anyone recognize this daylily? It is the daylily that is blooming just abouve the birdbath. Any ideas are welcome. I got it from the White Flower Farm in one of their 50 daylilies for $100 probably about 8 or more years ago. The scape looks thick so a tetraploids might be better guesses, try "Ruffled Dude" or 'Ever So Ruffled" both are tetraploids. Jerry

I have trouble trying to figure out the names of some of my first daylilys. I had ordered some in the fall and they made it just fine over winter but they were not what I had ordered. I got busy and it wasn't until last year when I found my sales slip that I was suppose to have a doubles collection, and it wasn't what I received.... :'( Your daylily is very pretty.
Sherry--That is a pity about your daylily order. You could always email the company. I think I have just one double daylily & it is an offshoot from a friends'---too young to bloom as yet. It is a 'Madge Cayse'.
