Yesterday I tried something (another thing) that I learned about from Garden Stew (specifically CajunBelle and some others recently). I was mulching around my fig trees and the place where my hose reel sits so I put down the layers of wet newspapers before I spread the mulch.

I realized how differently I am approaching things in my yard this year. It is really exciting to have all of you to learn from and I want to say THANK YOU!!!

I am also sharing info with other people. My across-the-street neighbor invited me to see her newly tilled veggie garden yesterday and her backyard is FULL of dandelions. Of course I thought of Biita! I told her she could eat them. She might try it! And last evening, my back-fence neighbor and I were wondering about a particular grass and he said "Why don't you ask your garden-forum-people?" I thought that was funny. Guess I talk about you all more than I realized!!!

It's lovely to read posts like this and know that we all share our ideas and that they are implemented and appreciated. Even seasoned gardeners can find out different ways of doing things here at GardenStew. :-D

I've learned much since I've been a member and consider the "stewbies" my friends. As a gardener I'm just happy to share and trade.
