We are hearing and seeing about a terrible earthquake in California, we hope everyone is safe together with their families.
We have been in some large shakes and it is just terrifying, you are powerless.

I lived a few towns over from where that earthquake was in California. We had tremors every few days back in the late 60's. My daughter was sleeping in a crib with wheels at the time. Many many times her crib was out into the middle of the room when I when in to check her in the morning. It's a very unsettled area.

My sister and family live there. They said it woke them up and some things fell off the wall. But no damage to their houses.
I think I'd rather our hurricanes than an earthquake.

I hope any damage was at a minimum and that no one was killed or hurt by the earthquake.

I have a friend that lives in Spokane Wa. and she was over there in July. It seems that every time she goes to California, they have a quake right after she leaves. I told her not to come visit me, I didn't need to be shook up!

I too hope none of our Stewbies live in that area. Thank God no one was killed. I couldn't imagine being in a area where they have quakes. Then all the after shocks would be very unnerving also. Yikes! I'll take snow and 30 below zero over that.

My niece lives in that area. She posted pictures of her pictures hanging crooked and things that had fallen off tables, etc. But, no damage to their house. Just clean-up work for a couple of days.
Our son and my cousin both said they didn't feel it. They live about 50 miles from the area.
