This weather is awful! Just hoping you aren't suffering to much oop north. We have fence panels down and bits of tree and debris all over the garden. The greenhouse made it through the day, but the conservatory spent the whole day creaking ominously. Mark had to ride home on the motorbike from London and so many roads were closed that it took him twice as long as normal. The winds seem to have dropped a little, but still blustering like mad. The man over the road is away on holiday in Australia and his entire fence blew down into the footpath. Fortunately I had his fathers telephone number so gave him a call. 11 people have been killed so far during these 24hours of storms, including a 2 year old child who was crushed beneath a falling wall. Carnage and tragedy all in one day.
I'm fine EJ but the garden has suffered quite badly. A lot of my plants were uprooted and blown about and the whole back fence was down. We can't seem to get decent enough weather to repair it properly because the winds are still so high. Read about the day I went to Montrose with Ian - http://www.gardenstew.com/about3983.html - a really hair raising experience I can tell you!!
Oh my, you two are really having some rough weather over there. So sorry to hear about the deaths caused by the weather EJ. Hope things smooth out for you pretty soon. Everyone seems to be having such unusual weather this year.
I am so sorry to hear all of the bad things happening around you all.It has rained almost all evening here but the ice is melting great.
