It is decidedly NOT beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

With temps like these, how can it?

We are looking at a similar forecast for next week and it's a more frequent Christmas forecast for here than anything much cooler. It's terrible when you are a young girl who asked for a certain coat, got it but can't wear it until once in February and then not again until the next Winter.....by which time you have outgrown it and never got to wear it.

Tell me about it Ronni. Our weather is super mild here for Christmas time. It's slightly ruining the atmosphere on the occasion. In fact we are forecast the warmest Christmas Day in 100 years  What I wouldn't give for a cold snap right about now.

I hope all of you who want cold, get it for the holidays, but I am considering the warmth as a most welcome Christmas present! I love wearing shorts and sandals in December, having fresh roses from the garden as a holiday bouquet, and being able to grill a chicken outdoors for Christmas Eve dinner. I like ho, ho, ho as opposed to shiver, shiver, shiver!

I am baffled. It not only isn't Christmassy, but it is bad for my plants and bees.
I do not like this at all.

It isn't overly warm here, but above normal... I am loving it.

It's warmer than usual here too, and there is no snow and none in the forecast any time soon. And I love it! I am NOT going to complain about any of it! We had enough winter last year to last several years!

Milder than usual here too but with high winds and lots and lots of rain. I wouldn't mind snow at Christmas but I have a feeling that this year we won't be having any.:(

After 5 days of below freezing weather and 5 inches of snow, it is finally above freezing by a whopping 10 degrees. Tomorrow is suppose to be clear but the next 4 days after has 20 to 70 percent chance of more snow. I'm not really complaining as this area depends on snow for ground water and it keeps the fire hazard down for the first part of summer. With juniper and spruce forest all around us that's important. And we're almost guaranteed a white Christmas. :) snow 001 (Medium).JPG

I have to use a converter to understand your temps, and as far as I can see you're getting between 6°C and 21°C. We hardly get 21°C during summer! We had a new temp record a few days ago. 17°C or 62°F. The forecast says temps between 42 and 46°F for the next few days. As a bonus we're on double storm warning. One tonight and the second in two days' time. Then the temps are dropping and we might get snow. They say. I'm not sure I'm going to believe them this time either.

2ofus, your scene looks a lot more Christmassy than my view at the moment. :D

Ronni, we had winter weather like you are having when we lived in Texas. After 40 years of living in zones 4 it was quite and adjustment! When the summer temperatures reached 117F (47.2C) we headed back North! We are under a winter storm watch now and up to 10 inches (25.4 cm) of snow predicted.
Droopy, You brought up a good point about having to try to convert measurements and I'll try to remember to put the conversions in when I post.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here. We got about 5 inches (12.7cm) last night.
