arrow leaves, fury dark stem, is this a pinellia cordata

    I bought this a few days ago. The label only says asso. foliage... Please help!

    Yes it could be a Pinellia Cordata, Miniature Green Dragon. It certainly has the right shaped leaves. Most of them have deep green leaves with silvery-white vein tracings though but yours could be a different variety.

    Actually, this one is a stumper for me too - it isn't an aroid, but rather a fern in the Asplenium subgroup.... We often offer it for sale at work, it grows by means of an underground rhizome.

    I forget to mention one other detail:
    the new leaves start from the base of the old leave... I thought it was a fern at first...
