Lovely, Earthworm. I like the combinations of rock and plantings....artist made art and nature made art... ! Has a very peaceful feel. Have you visited the Southwest of US? Santa Fe, New Mexico for example?

No I haven't partaken in the pleasure of your neighbourhood. The garden shown was indeed inspired by images I've seen or imagined from places like New Mexico, the house and garden walls are adobe, like the archetypal SE US desert construction. I think the design and outcome suited this environment.

Those are lovely gardens! I'd wish for something like that if I lived somewhere drier. :D

That stroll path actually begs to be walked. I love it.
I must say - I am impressed with the cacti and sculptures. You know Earthworm - the people around here are all so bent on gardening against nature, and your gardens just seems to natural and it really works in a desert area.
Wwe have serious water shortages every year. And I am thinking of changing my garden into a totally water-wise one. May I 'steal' some ideas from your photos. ;) Pleaze...

I too, like the water-wise concept -- have been reading more about it over past week. I'm glad to see your examples, Earthworm. The challenge here is that it is wet in Spring, cold in Winter, and hot, humid and dry in Summer. Very sandy soil. I am thrilled to have this site for info and so many wonderful ideas.
