How nice of y'all to ask for more photos of our Nativity collection. I hope you enjoy them!

This Triptych was sent to us by my husband's sister, who found it in a Maryland shop.

Nativity in a seed pod ( photo / image / picture from marlingardener's Garden )
This little wide-eyed Holy Family is in a seed pod from South America.

this is the side view. I have no idea what the seed pod is, nor why the Holy Family looks so surprised.

Nativity with cacti ( photo / image / picture from marlingardener's Garden )
We love this Nativity for two reasons--the cacti in the background, and the little sheep wearing yellow jackets. It looks like a cross between a desert scene and New England sailors wearing slickers!

This is a small jar, about 4" tall, with a removable lid, that contains the nativity scene. It, too, is from Mexico.

We have more, but they are terribly hard to photograph because of their wee size. I hope looking at these give you an idea of how different cultures see the nativity.

These are all so diverse and lovely Jane that it's hard to pick out just one as a favourite. I do like the folding Russian triptych very much though. :-D

So happy you like the nativities!
Sjoerd, we have collected them from shops in Mexico, San Antonio, a shop in Waco that specializes in handmade objects from around the world, and received some as gifts.
We enjoy them so much, and are happy to share.
