My garden this summer has been sadly neglected. I really needed to move plants and find the paths again. I think the impossible upkeep of the Huglekultur, the over running of the squash plants and my son and friend moving in while between homes for ten days (with all their belongings in tents) just slowed me down a bit. It was a really good summer though.

When looking at the yard it isn't so pretty, but there have been lots of lemon cucumbers and golden cherry tomatoes. Have been eating away on them daily and sharing with family and friends.

We have even been getting a few larger tomatoes. At this rate of ripening some may still be around for Thanksgiving, the end of November.

Then there are the sunflowers. I real mixed blend. Everything from two footers to 25 footers. What's with that?

There are a few other varieties of yellow flowers....within reach.

I really like your blooms, wish I had some to share but we haven't had such a good summer. So I will stroll through yours a few more times and pretend it's mine.

Everything looks great. You have some very pretty flowers and I love the clematis and fall crocus. The vegetables look like they are happy and showing it by really producing a lot.

You have so much going on there Jewell while my garden is closing down for the forthcoming winter. All those yellow flowers must make you think of sunshine every time you look at them.

I enjoyed your posting very much too Jewell. You sure have some beauties growing there!! Looking at your photo of the Anemones they look just like some that I was looking at in the greenhouse yesterday. I really like them so I think I am going to go and buy then tomorrow! That Hydrangea bloom is huge!!!

Thanks CM. It has certainly been busy the warm summer.

Netty, you will really enjoy the late blooms. I had moved some roots around last spring and now have them in two areas. I think I will have to move the obedient plants next to them since they are in the same color family and bloom at the same time.

Sjoerd, (lol) bits and pieces do photo well. It is fun eating fresh and we have had a warm productive summer.

Eileen, we are slowing down, but always have a long fall (well usually). I used to do a winter garden, but our seasons have changed and have been frozen out too many years in a row. Will still try kale though. It is pretty resistant...at least the blue Siberian is.

2forus, I love yeh fall crocus too. They have multiplied through the years and this time of year often show me where my boarders used to stop.

Toni, sorry to hear yours hasn't been the best of summers. I feel like we may have gotten your weather since we haven't really had any rain and unseasonable warm weather. Now I know what a 'real summer' feels like.

Bunkie, high compliments from a professional gardener like yourself.
