Always one to jump on the bandwagon, I thought it was about time I showed you some of my autumn colours in the garden.

    Acer Palmatum

    Aster

Can't remember the name of this blue spikey flower.

The dew on a purple pansy

Echinaceas just starting to go over now. This in only their first year so I was pleased to get some blooms.

Hardy shrubby Fuschias still in full bloom

Tender pelergoniums still going strong, the cold weather will do for them.

    Hydrangea

I think this is an aster as it looks like it, but the flowers are weeeeeny.

    Nasturtiums

Leycestaria or pheasants berry, a lovely plant but it does seed everywhere in my garden.

    Sedum

    teasel towering above the deck.

Verbena bonariensis, one I grew from seed just this spring so pleased it has flowers. Hoping it will bulk and and spread for next year.

    White tuber begonia

My gorgeous white cyclamen. I have bought a few pot fulls of pink cyclamen which I am going to plant next to the white hoping that over the years, they will mingle.

The weather has been stunning in Essex this weekend, and as you can see, we have mananged to spend most of it out of doors.

    Absolutely beautiful colors EJ.
I have red geraniums, but that orange one is tempting for next year.
Love the look of the Cyclamen blooms, the way they unfurl.

They aren't unfurling Toni, they are actually depositing their seeds down at ground level where ants take them away and plant them elsewhere. They are like little springs and I love them!

Pretty blooms EJ. I believe the blue flower in the 3rd photo is Sea Holly.

My sea holly has already died back but it was the most beautiful shade of blue while it was flowering. I absolutely adore that acer of yours - it's one that I don't have in my collection so I'm rather jealous.
I've just moved all my pelergoniums into the greenhouse as it's soooo cold here at nights now.

I believe that flower that you can't recall is an Eryngium.

What a lovely selection of flowers and plants you still have. I can tell that fall's on the way there though. I think that we are a bit further along than you are, but I must give my flowers credit: they are holding on valiently.

I hope that your flowere keep you campany for a few more weeks.

Beautiful photos EJ. I love the acer. Great teasel, do you use it in flower arrangements? We have the mauve little cyclamens. There was a lovely display at Wisley when we visited last week. I didn't realise that the ants transported them around the garden, that is why we have little groups popping up everywhere!

Ohhh lucky you!! The only color we have now is the red rowen berries on the trees. Most of the leaves now are on the ground, and every morning there is ice and frost over everything.

I envy you still have color. And i love that last plant too,,, way to cool!!

Thank you all for your kind words. However, we have had such rotten weather since I took these photos at the weekend, strong winds and heavy hard rain I imagine everything has been flattened! That said, the ground was incredibly dry and needed the rain.
