Unknown eggs in nest. They are jelly bean size speckled blue eggs.

I talk to the parents and they get used to me. The robins let me pick up the flower pot to take the picture. They are very patient with me. I will take pictures of the mom tomorrow..

Interesting place for a nest. Most of the Robin's nests I have seen were not is the safest of places. At least yours has hatched, the neighbor's cats usually get the ones that nest in our bushes.

We have a little tea cart sitting in the front of the house. It usually has about 2 or all 3 shelves of little bird houses sitting neatly all in a row. It looks like row homes. The wrens always make their homes in them. I can roll the thing around to sweep under it or just move it around the corner. They follow it to where ever I decide to put it.

This robin nest doesn't even seem to have mud in it. Actually, she started making the first one and it must have fallen down to the ground, so she picked another flower pot to start another one. I should take pictures of the set up today so you can see how unsafe it is.

This pair of robins make their nest in our peach tree every year bit this year they moved next door to the little greenhouse where I have all the pots stored. During the wind storms a few of the plastic panels blew out and now they have this little house for their nest.

I'll bet if we could watch all the nests in our area many of the nests or eggs are snatched before the cycle is over. These robins let me pick up the pot and touch the eggs to see that they are warm and put it back. They get right back on it quickly. Of course I call them before I turn the corner and tell them what I am going to do before I do it. They seem to understand very well.

Barb--great photos! Robins do seem to be creatures of habit, they seem to build their nests in the same place as the previous year. But, a flower pot! Who would have thought?!?
Please do post a photo of the overall set up. I love the mental picture of a wheel-about cart with a bird's nest on board!

Wow cool pix :) There are a few blue jays (like one of the only birds I can identify ) in the trees in front of our home that have nest but they chase everyone. Its awesome. There's other birds there and a woodpecker hangs around too. But there's a fat black bird that they all chase around, they don't like him. They work together on this. Some brown birds and the bluejays. I think the woodpeckers just laughs at them like he thinks they are fools! Hahaha One of the bluejays likes me, he comes to visit while I'm sitting on my porch... I can never get pictures.

I hope all those babies survive and manage to fledge safely. I wonder why the adults picked a flower pot to nest in though. :-?

Can you see mama peeking out at me in the top pot?

Pictures are bad but you get the idea. I do have to get out there and put those pots away...

I found these on the floor in that little greenhouse. I guess, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again" works for birds too.

Now I worry that the one with the babies will fall. I may try to bungie cord it up a little.

The last 3 pictures are of the carts with bird houses. The last one used to have about 9 houses on it. We are late getting them out this year.

Previewing these I see the pics are terrible. I must have done something to my camera/phone. Hopefully I will succeed in finding the correction.
