I came out the back door just after this little wren came out of the watering can their nest is in.

We looked at each other in mutual surprise. Here he is just getting ready for his first flight.

One was starting to come out later but ducked back in when he saw me. We sure love our wrens. This is their second successful nest this summer. 8)

Awwww he's absolutely adorable. Doesn't he realise you might actually need to use the watering can? Or is it a case of "Finder's keepers lady!"?

What a great picture. It is amazing where birds will build a nest.

Great shots Bethie. I love to watch the baby birds learning to fly.

Thanks for sharing your wrens, our yard is not bird friendly bc of all the cats, so I don't encourage them, maybe one day.
