We got home yesterday afternoon and, boy, was it great to sleep in my own bed again. Very disappointed in Demark as everything was closed. We did manage to find a rather tatty little zoo which actually stayed open until 6pm!! It was dirty and smelled bad but I took shots of everything I could anyway. I took lots of photographs for you all as we went down to London first to see our youngest son and visit Richmond Park. After Denmark we stayed two nights in Holland and visited with our old friends Sjoerd and his wife. It'll take me some time to go through all the piccies and post them but I'll make a start later today. It's just soooo good to be home.
Calin the whole area we were ataying in was closed. No cafes, no restaurants, no shops - nothing!! We did, eventually find a 'Spar' grocery store but that was about it. I've never visited a country for a holiday and arrived to find everywhere empty and shut up.
Sounds disappointing with everything being closed. But I bet you made it up for it! Can't wait to see your photos.
Welcome back home. What a shame that Denmark was closed. It is such an interesting country with an interesting past. Oh well. Next time just come to Holland, we will be open. hahaha.
Well rats! That ain't no fun :-| At least it was time away and a change of scenery Always makes us appreciate home doesn't it?
