Welcome back!!! I think I prefer to see pelicans in flight as it's something I've never seen before. :-D We can see plenty of them in nature reserves and zoos here but they're always so fat that all they can do is waddle around.
Funny, I have hardly ever seen pelicans on the ground! They were plentiful when I lived at the beach in Virginia. Welcome back, Kildale.
I'll keep my eyes out for good pelican shots for you Klamath Falls is known as "Pelican City" Ours are BIG and white, not dark like the coastal ones. My grandma used to say that when the pelicans came home it meant spring was here :-o Did you enjoy your Oregon trip? The Oregon coast is very beautiful and rugged. Plus, we don't have any sales tax!
