After about 3 weeks of no rain and the ground rapidly drying out, we got about 3 inches of rain from early Friday morning until now. I woke up about 2 am to thunder and lightning and heavy rain. It rained until about 5:30 am. It has stopped for now, but more chances of rain this afternoon. My 2 rain barrels are back full again.

A full rain barrel must make the plants happy. We received 3/4 inch of rain this week and more on the way. Since we live in the shade It takes awhile to dry out.

I'm glad you got your rain Capt. Sounds like it was just in time.

Please send me your addresses and I'll try to forward some of our rain. South Norway's got floods, closed roads and landslides. If we wanted to visit the capital this week-end we'd either have to fly down or drive through Sweden.
