About 9 this morning, my defibrilator fired off, so I went to the emergency room. All the tests for heart attack were negative and they sent me home about noon. My heart had gone out of rhythim agai. The same thing had happened last Oct. I feel good, just a little tired. Will take it easy for a few days. I see my defib. Dr. on Fri.
Sorry to read this Capt, hope you are feeling a lot better today and all is well when you see your Doc. Kind Regards Jonty
I'm glad you are back home and the tests for a heart attack were negative. When I was having all of those episodes of irregular heartbeats they found I was low on magnesium. You might ask your doctor to check your levels. I take a supplement twice a day now and it seems to have helped. You have a good night now. dooley
I remember that episode last year... So glad that you have that high tech ticker tracker, Capt. Hope you get good news n Friday... No stress allowed now.
I am glad there was no evidence of a heart attack Captain. I would hope someone cones up for a reason the alarm went off. Good luck with Friday's appointment. Jerry
Thge defib does it's job. When the heart goes out of rhythim, it shocks it back into sync. It also works as a pacemaker and keeps the ticker paceing. There are meds they can put me on to keep it in sync, but evidently there are side affects. My cardiologist dosn't want to put me on it until absolutely needed. They say that it's not going out of sync enough to warrant it yet.
I have an enlarged heart and a weak heart. It only works at about 35%. So I am on meds for that. Plus I had a quad. bypass done almost 10 years ago. My heart just goes out of rhythim for no reason. Thats why I have the defibrilator to begin with.
Capt., I'll keep you in my thoughts today. Please let us know what the doctor says. Your heart may be enlarged and weak, but it's in a good-hearted man!
