Hi everybody, well we spent the day at the doctors today for Wayne ,We were getting his results from the m-r-i sometimes back,They said he would never get the hearing back from sawing , So now they want him to get a hearing aid, so we set up an appointment to see about it,Its bad we have to learn the hard way, he said it never hurt him before but I guess when we get older things happen,So to all my friends out there please take care of your selves, Dont take things for granted, as we sometime do ,Its hard when we see someone we love in pain and cant do anything about it,Weve had some hard times lately ,and then this happened ,I just wish things would calm down awhile,I guess some prayers and alot of love ,things will get better. Thank you all for your Kind ear!! ( photo / image / picture from margie12u's Garden )

Oh Margie you and Wayne have been through so much lately. I hope the hearing aid helps so that he can get back at least some of his hearing with it. I'm sending cyber healing thoughts to you. Let us know how it goes when you've been to see about the hearing aid won't you?
You've had your share of troubles so some good things are headed your way. dr has no hearing in one ear and sometimes has trouble hearing out of the other ear. It's the result of working 26 years in a noisy automobile factory. Some noises really make it hurt so I have to be careful when I'm working in the kitchen not to bang the dishes together or drop a spoon on a plate, etc. I banish him when I am trying to do the dishes. I hope your husband does better as time passes and our good thoughts and prayers go your way. dooley
I am sending prayers and good thoughts your way margie.I am still waiting for the results on my MRI.I can't hear good from working around 18 wheelers and its getting worse as I get older. God bless you both.
So sorry about all the trails and tribulations. I will also keep you and Wayne in my thoughts. I hope the hearing aid helps.
I'm so sorry to hear your news, Margie. Best wishes for Wayne's ear. I hope this year will be a good one for you.
What a darn shame, Margie. As I think about what you said about talking about all kinds of stuff oin here....you are right, you know. We DO talk about all kinds of stuff and I like that very much. I feel sort of proud that you think enough of all of us that you are wuilling to share this bit of unhappiness. That says alot about you and ...what you think of us as trusted "ears and shoulders". I think that you can see by the immediate response from folks that we do care and share this unhappiness with you. Of course it would have been better if Wayne had used hearing protection in the past--but that's not where you guys are at now. You have identified the problem and so now "crying over spilt milk" is not your course. Your course is to get a good hearing aid for Wayne so that he can enjoy conversation, music and such. Hearing is one of the basics in life that we need and have come to rely on. There are many different sorts of hearing aids available. The large majority all do the same thing, but some are a bit fancier. Most magnify tones--but sadly they magnify ALL tones at the same time, while perhaps only the highest tones are diminished, for instance. What this means basically is that the person with the impared hearing will have trouble in large groups or in a busy street. The sounds will be all jumbled and cause irritation. Having said all that, there are some more specialized types available and improvements are being made all the time. You have some that have little wheels to adjust the hearing magnification to the frequencies that need attention. When it comes to hearing aids--research the possibilities carefully and get a good one for him, it is worth the cost (and avoidence of frustrations and other emotions). I have had to deal with this with family members and I can tell you that they would have avoided a whole lot of irritation and hopelessness-feeling if thay had just gone for the "fancy" one in the first place. Now, don't you think that I am being nosey or butting-in, because that's not my intention at all. This is just my form of support. Good luck and lots of strength to you both.
Hugs are being sent right...now!! I hope things take a turn for the better SOON!! I was trying to make my husband see the importance of hearing protection by telling him your story. Men! They seem to think it will never happen to them Please tell Wayne to be patient and persistent with the hearing aides! My poor dad has had an awful time trying to get one that fits properly and works properly. I know he and my mom have had some battles over the hearing aid issue! Dad is ready to throw his hands in the air and just give up, Mom wants him to go back to the doctor as many times as it takes to get it right!! It has been a frustrating journey. Put a smile on your face and a song in your heart and remember you have a bunch of friends at "The Stew" supporting you Deanna :-D
Nice People Hi Deanna thank you so much everyone has been so wonderful sjored sent me such a nice note earlier I almost cried There are so many nice people in the world and its nice to meet all of you on the stew. Thank you alot Margie,
You'll both be in my prayers for healing. What has been taken away can be replaced in some way and your friends will be here for you, Margie.
