Monday evening about 5 pm we had a small storm (size wise) come through. Everything only lasted about 20 minutes. But in that time we had high winds and 1 inch of rain. And we didn't get the full brundt of it either! It was kind of weird as everything was out of the northeast and we hardly ever get it out of that direction. It's usually out of the southwest. The temps dropped 23 degrees in that 20 minutes. Lost the tops out of 5 trees and the leaves were shredded from most of the others. Will have about a week of yard cleanup to do now. Will try to get some pics today for in the gallery.

Gosh CK a drop in temperature of 23 degrees in just twenty minutes!! I hope you didn't get any damage to the house - bad enough having your trees ripped and shredded. Take it easy with the clean up.

Oh boy! Those short, unexpected storms can be the scariest!

We had one med sized limb land on the roof, but only dinged the one roof vent. No damage to the shingles. I am posting pics in the gallery.

it blew through here around 3:00. I heard it thundering for about an hour before it started, I really thought it was blowing south when I came into check the radar...but pretty soon it started blowing in from the E/NE. we had only heavy rain, but in town they had hail. :( When I took Caity in to band practice the leaves were all over the street, and the girl we picked up said the hail was the size of dimes. I was really thankful we didn't get any of that on the garden.

Sorry to hear you had damage Captain. hope everything isn't too much work for you to get cleaned up.

Oh dear, sorry to hear about the mess left behind after the storm. We live in an area where cyclones are a part of life, mostly during our summer and early autumn and it's not much fun at all. Thankfully it sounds as if your house escaped significant damage.

Glad to hear that there was little damage as last time time railing and stair were damaged. Take it easy on the cleanup Captain. Don't over work yourself. I really hate to see trees loose large branches and tops. It takes awhile for them to recover.
