We have about 6 inches of snow on the ground and the low temperature this morning was -2 F. But shortly after 7 am, I saw a Robin hunkered down, trying to stay warm on the garage apron. He was puffed out to twice his size. I couldn't beleive it when I saw him. I think he needs to rethink his trip north timing!
Oh dear, poor thing! You got me to thinking about how I usually see the first Robin in February, but haven't seen one yet. I'm glad they are smart this year and staying south longer ... it is SO cold here!
