I have a basil plant that I put in a mason jar, that has been sprouted for about a week. It's a decent size sprout and has 4 leaves per stem but I noticed last night that the leaves have little black rot spots on them. Does anyone know what this is and what I should do about it?

It gets very little water every other day and gets partial sun all day. If that helps.

Take it out of the mason jar and put it in a pot with good drainage. The roots need to breathe. Have you checked the roots? In a glass jar the water does not evaporate from the bottom and moisture builds up. Or the moisture you are adding does not even get to the bottom. Or,,,are you rooting it in water ?
