Little bat faces looking every direction on this plant.
Does anybody know if cutting this one back will make it bushier. I have always shied away from cutting back, not knowing for sure which plants benefit from it and which do not....then I end up with a lot of long stemmed, lanky plants.

Toni you can prune your cuphea in early spring and between bloom cycles for denser growth. :-D

Wow! Wow! I love flowers and I like bats, so that little beauty would be loved to death here. Thanks for showing it.

Never heard of this one before, and it's obvious how it got its name. I'll have to see what I can find here in our neck of the woods...

My sis-in-law gave me a cutting of this a couple of years ago. It didn't make it. :'(

Maybe I need to pay her a visit and get another one! Love the cute little flower!

I had one in a pot all thru year before last, when I got the first bed finished out front it and another one I picked up last year found a new home.

It hasn't been out of bloom since early last month so cutting it back will probably have to wait until early spring when it comes back out. It is supposed to be an annual in zone 7 and north but mine evidently like me since they have keep coming back.

Anyone looking for it, it is Cuphea Llavea
