It was another nice day here for garden work, so it was on the bike and off to the lottie. When we got there, we began to unload the panniers and when we saw what was stalled-out we were amazed and what all we could get into and onto the bikes. The main focus would be the planting out of the broad beans which we germinated on our bedroom windowsill. You can see them here up against the greenhouse. We had raked the mulch back and just after the foto we removed those couple of weeds and grass. So then, here is the bean plot ready for planting: Then with the plants in: The chore wasn't finished though...netting was required this year. Further today, we raked and cleared another patch for the onions. We planted a few rows of those. We also removed some dead material from the flower garden. It was a great day with sometimes a bit of sun to warm us up from that chilly wind.
Mart---hahahaha....that is a good question. It is a question of smart packing and logical thinking....and of course a bit of luck.
Thanks so much, Cayu. We will empty the soil out of the greenhouse next. I have to decide where I will put it. those bikes are indeed like pack mules sometimes.
When I was a young man , I rode and camped from Corpus Christie, Texas to Longview , Texas. Camped at Several Parks and the beaches. Met a lot of people on the way. You can pack a lot of gear on a bike.
Outside of Lufkin, Texas, I passed a house with a chain link fence all way around. Two Great Dane dogs lay on the front porch. As I passed by, they ran down the yard and cleared that fence by a good foot. They ran along side of me for at least a hundred yards, barking and drooling. Scared the Dajesus out of me. They weren't mean . just wanted to run!
