I was setting in the swing out back with Chug the cat curled up beside me watching the leaves fall from the locust and walnut trees. With a light breeze out of the northeast, they were coming down at a pretty good rate. Those are about the only leaves that have started to turn so far. The poison oak up in the trees has started to turn bright red and some are a deep purplr. The wild grape has turned yellow and dropped to the ground already.
I love to see the changing colors on the different trees. We generally drive higher up in the mountains to see the aspen (yellow), vine maples (red), and mountain mahogany (burgundy). They are so pretty with the green spruce trees.
Our mornings have been cool and the days warm, so we have lots of trees changing colors. I tried to take a photo, but with the sun shining it washed out the color and didn't look at all impressive. I will try to get another one today
