The bees are buzzing here in Southern NJ. Yesterday they were everywhere. I was so happy to see them. I love honey and to see bees emerge seems to instill hope. Wildflowers with a Bee ( photo / image / picture from drissel122's Garden ) Crocus ( photo / image / picture from drissel122's Garden )
I can't wait to see them in my gardens...you are so lucky to have them visiting yours..great flowers, especially the beautiful yellow crocus.
Thanks Sherry, Last fall I threw them around my bald cypress, and planted them where they landed. I'm real happy with the natural look that gave me. Maybe it will show up in this picture. Naturalized Crocus ( photo / image / picture from drissel122's Garden )
They look good. That's a great idea to create the naturalized look. We are due for a few nice days, Fri & Sat. then it cools back down. I hope we don't skip Spring and go right to summer!
I'm just waiting to see my first bee of the year. Thanks for posting yours as it certainly cheered me up.
It is always nice to see bees buzzing and I also like honey too especially those collected by independent honey collectors. Drissel nice photos, this photo I took takes me nearly 30minutes because they are laways zooming around Bee approaching Bitter Gourd Flower ( photo / image / picture from KK Ng's Garden )
I do like that look of them growing under and around the tree in the grass...then when you mow the grass the flowers come back next summer? I used to have poppys that grew in the grass when we had sandy soil..
Yes they will come back. Their foliage takes what it needs from the sunshine and withers quickly. Also, the foliage doesn't grow much higher than the level of the grass when mown. I couldn't grow other bulbs this way in my yard, but the early crocus work.
