This has to be one of my all-time favorite roses. It is heavily scented, blooms like mad, and is relatively problem free. It does tend to "ball" in our humid summers (the buds turn brown and don't open). However, this minor drawback is nothing compared to the joy Belinda's Dream brings to the garden.

This rose was developed by Mike Shoup at Antique Rose Emporium, and named after his daughter. What a great tribute!

A grand addition to any garden. I like the color.

    A lovely full rose Jane!,
and heavily scented as well!,..as you probably have noticed i am big into roses,..the more scented the better i like them,..though i have one rose that outdoes all the others so you can hardly get the scent from the weaker scented,..still no complaints.

Philip, do you have any of the David Austin roses? I have Dark Lady in bloom right now, and my Charles Darwin just finished a flush of bloom. I dearly love the Austins, but have to be careful to choose ones that can stand our Texas heat and humidity.

I love that rose too. Stunning.

I have two of David Austin's roses : St Swithun's climbing rose, and Queen of Sweden. Both are full of buds and getting ready to bloom. I love old varities and ramblers/climbers in my garden when I can find them. :stew1:

WOW! How beautiful. Sorry to say the only Rose bush I have is a Wal-Mart one. :( My Grandmother when she lived in Manchester England had a garden full of her Prize Roses. And they were simply "stunning"

Philip, it is Queen of Sweden, and has gorgeous pink blooms also. [Maybe they should name a rose after the Queen of Sheba too? :)]

I have several Walmart roses and Dollar Store ones. The Walmart ones here are grade 1 1/2 and have been very good. I have an old one from them that I did not think to keep the name of, it is thriving very well.
