As I've mentioned before, I order a lot of my garden seeds from Pine Tree. This year I got my seed order quickly (as usual) but the Martino's Roma Tomato seed was on back order. Not a problem, since I had a month before starting seeds. However, the Martino's didn't come in time for me to start them, so I e-mailed Pine Tree and asked that a credit for the seeds by held in my account for my next order. They had just received their Martino seed, so they are sending me the packet I ordered, AND crediting my account, along with an apology for missing my window of opportunity. Pine Tree has been helpful in the past, but this is over the top! With all the poor customer service that's out there, it is so refreshing to encounter a company that really cares about their customers. (This is not an advertisement, and I'm not affiliated with the company. )
That's great! I believe that good customer relations shouldn't go unnoticed ... there is just too much negative out there.
I wish every company would be as caring as Pine Tree Jane. It's so nice to hear of somewhere that actually puts their customers first.
Very nice statement. It made me find them and bookmark them and will buy from them in the future. Thanks....
Mart, oh golly do they have a catalog! The on-line catalog is the same as the paper one, and once you place an order, or request a paper catalog, they send out two a year (having a fresh catalog for the fall is especially nice for us Southern gardeners). Pine Tree Seeds is in Maine, but I've never had a problem with germination /growth of their seeds. They are mostly organic, tell you if the seeds are not, and packets are generous for the home gardener. Their website is www.superseeds.com and it is very user-friendly. I think you'd be pleased with the variety of seeds and products, and definitely with the service!
Thanks MG ,,will check them out. I rarely buy seeds from the catalogues since we have most of what we need here in town. But I might find a few new ones to try out.
It is always good to spread the word about a company that goes above and beyond expectations....because you always hear such negative things and good news is always welcomed. Maybe you could give them a nice review on their site too so more people can see it.
I got their catalog this year and I just placed an order with them. I really liked that their seeds come in smaller packages since there just the 2 of us though I do can and freeze as much as I can.
