My wife is going to get me some camoflage material and I am going to make a blind, just big enough for a folding chair, me and my tripod & camera. I will build the frame with hinges so it can fold up for easy storage. Should help in getting the wildlife pics that I want. Will let you know how it works.

Capt...I used to sit under an umbrella on the back steps of our deck at the last home...It really does help...Here I thought of using a blind but the wind is strong here If I put one up it would have to be a permanent one. Good Luck, I am sure you will get some great pictures. ...Sherry

I figured up what it would cost me to build the blind and it came to almost $50. I did some looking on the web and found a ground blind for $41. and it's even water proof! It should be here in about 10 days! Here is a pic of what I ordered! Just picture a camera lens coming out of it, instead of a gun.

Say capt'n...do those holes in the side have a mesh or screen-like netting flap to cover them so that you can see out but your prey can't see in?
I could imagine that you might want to have at least one of them closed as you sat waiting to click.
That thing looks like just the thing.

I have to tell ya a story about those blinds. 2 years ago i was hunting in one very similar to that one and a hunter that was behind me shot at a very large buck whitetail deer well he missed and that dang deer came running at me in the blind and didn't see me so it ran right over me.Tore my blind all to peices and didn't do much for my nerves either! And another thing there was a hunter who had shot at a deer and the bullet went thru my blind thank the good lord i wasn't in it! So if your in the woods with that PLEASE!! PLEASE!! let people know by placing hunter orange on it or a limb next to it. Needless to say i now hunt from up in a tree.

The holes that open don't have any mesh. But they do zip open and closed. Pepper I will mainly use it on my property so there will not any hunters. Or if they are, they will be ticketed as it is posted. Oh and it came this morning and it's pretty neat. It comes with a backpack so you can carry it like a large book bag.
