My Peach Passion sunflowers are blooming! I have anxiously awaited these since this is the first time I've grown them. I think these are hands down the best sunflowers I've ever grown!

They are a little over 3 ft tall right now, but are supposed to reach 5ft. The plants are branching and just covered with buds. The plants are so sturdy, I don't even have to stake them yet!

Another plant I am really enjoying are these 'Decor' Zinnias!

The plants are also very sturdy and bushy...I never pinched them back, but they look like I have!

The stems are long (these are good for cutting) and the flowers come in coral or chartreuse on the same plant.

These plants have needed minimal care and have held up to 90+ degree days! :-D

I do love them. I forgot how much until I saw them blooming. I really love the unusal colors, I have the envy and also the violet queen (need to plant it, though). I like the plants on these Decor ones....it is so bushy and sturdy. I broke one off by accident, it was only hanging by a thread, and yet it still grows and thrives. I won't touch it for fear of breaking it completely off.

Eileen, if you decide to buy some, the Decor are stunning! They don't have a black one, but do have a deep purple too.

Both are beautiful plants. I love Zinnia's too. I usually grow "State Fair Mix" because they can take the heat, drought and still make great cut flowers :)

I never manage to grow Zinnias without them getting a nasty case of mildew. :?

I think I live in the mildew capital! Our humidity stays around 100% during the summer...this one is doing so well, but I have a lot of space around it and it is mulched pretty well. I can't believe it, but as soon as I mulched all my plants tripled in size!
