I was on Gardenstew this afternoon when I heard thunder and looked up. It was getting dark and the wind came up. I hurried and shut things down. I went out to look and almost blew away. I ran to get the camera because the vultures were soaring on the air currents but when I got back they had flown away on the current. They looked great against the black sky. I had to get back in the house because the lightening was close. That one struck just in the alley in back of the house. I saw that one. We had heavy rain and hail, big hail. I told dr it was raining ice cubes. No damage from it though. I was a bit surprised to see things still standing when it passed by. it was still rumbling thunder when we left for work but the rain had slowed a lot. It was a wide front because the roads were wet and there were puddles all the way up the hill. They had the same kind of storm up there. It sure cooled it off fast. It went from 90's down to about 55 in just a few minutes. It's cool here tonight. But it's come up to about 70, I think. Chance went from door to window back to door trying to bark it away. She's a good dog. We did try to tell her that it wouldn't work. dooley
Oh, that was close! We recently had thunderstorms too, but nothing like what you had. I hope everything will green up nicely for you now, with all the moisture. Tell Chance she did good.
Dogs think they can take on anything, I love their enthusiasm. Does Chance also attack water from a hose?
