I try to take a photos of all the birds that visit the sun deck for the water that I have there. There is a very small pond, just 2ft x 2ft and about 6 small dishes, like those saucers that you stand a plant pot in. These are the birds that I have managed to take so far. Birds and Water

You've got a nice selection of feathered friends there. :D The only ones I recognize from here are the sparrows. I think we've got the crossbills too, but not right here where I live.

Like Droopy the only birds I recognize are the European Sparrows as we have them over here too. All the rest I have only seen in my bird books, TV or on forums.

Really pleased that you enjoyed the birds, will have to show the ones I took in winter, a couple of them will amaze you, and I don't mean my photography.

Birds are just so sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed your birds and water pictures. I especially love the robins. They keep me company whenever I'm gardening and have a ball in the birdbath or flying in and out of the sprinkler. They are the first up for breakfast and the last to eat in the evening in my yard.

How do you photograph the birds -- from inside through a window or do they let you share the deck with them?

Most of the shots have to be taken through an open window, the birds are used to it now.
I do set up a lot of props etc to get some decent looking shots an not just a seed table etc.
I'm putting in another lot of images, birds in winter.
