I took a few pictures out the front this morning to get the birds at the feeder. The feeders were frozen so dr dumped some seed on the ground for them. Larger birds came to eat. I hope these aren't too blurry to see. I tried to use the zoom feature so they wouldn't fly away when I got too close. I didn't need to worry though because when I walked out to clean the openings on the feeders they didn't leave. They really needed the food. I bet they wondered why the snow followed them south when they thought they left it up north. dooley
Worse than that Dooley, Cardinals don't migrate so those beauties are native Texans that probably have never seen snow or at least not in many years. Boy were they surprised this morning.
We didn't have snow, but the birds were just as happy as Dooley's when I filled their feeders this morning. Well... one was frozen shut, so I just sprinkled the food on the ground. I did see a couple of red birds... nothing like the amount that you have Dooley.
It looks as though those birds really appreciated you putting food out for them Dooley. Let's hope the snow melts quickly and the temperatures begin to rise again.
Some melted today but it didn't get above 40 so there is a lot still out there, mostly in grassy areas. But, it's supposed to be 62 tomorrow and 69 on Sunday so it should go pretty quick tomorrow. dooley
