I have a few birds, actually a lot, I had 22 different species on the deck for one Christmas bird count. I like to get a photo or two of them in the snow. These are some that I have managed to take so far. Just click Birds in Winter. They don't look very happy but I do what I can for them.

I did get a chill looking at them but they look like they've got their winter coats on. I'm sure they are well taken care of -- by you!

Here are some cold mourning doves in my yard last February. Don't they look cold?

Nice doves, DB. Kildale, you've certainly got a good variety of birds outside. They all look so exotic to me since few resemble the birds here. :D

I think my birds would be grateful for a bit of snow right now instead of all this darned rain. It's been pouring here for most of October right through until now and the poor birds look so miserable. I keep them well fed too which certainly helps them out but a little sunshine wouldn't go amiss.
I really enjoyed seeing all the different species you get around your way.

Any bird that eats insects would appreciate suet as the insects tend to be hard to find in cold and wet weather. Most ot the birds that I have calling will eat suet. Have a look at these pages from my nature site, just click Feeding the birds.
