I was very happy with these pic's Rich got a little testy when I kept saying stop or pullover. But he liked the end results. Some were taken while moving and are a little blurred. I wish I had remembered to change the camera back to color for the Christmas trees. They are growing on the side of the mountain. They are very nice. Now I really am feeling like a down south trip. Just think of all the Stewbies I could see along the way....
We camped going down skyline drive many years ago. You couldn't drive fast, not because of the laws, but because the deer wouldn't get out of the road. They thought, because of the laws, that they had control of the road and had more rights to them then we did. LOL Although, I have seen many many more bear here than I ever had in the mountains.
I really enjoyed seeing your black and white photographs as they have such depth to them. Once again the third photograph in particular caught my attention. Our local farm has a large water wheel but it's not in nearly as lovely a setting as the one you took a shot of. The fifth picture down is so atmospheric in B%W compared to colour that I would have it framed to hang in a bedroom..
Beautiful! I love the one of the old mill and the one of the old car peeking out of the side of the barn. I would love to have that one of the mill framed and hanging on my wall. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent pictures indeed! Thanks for sharing! By the way, many year ago I learned from my father a few secrets of Black & White photography - Which can still be used today in digital photography too. Only people seem to have forgotten all about it... Anyway it's all about using colored filters in Black & White photography (believe it or not). For example, if you want the clouds to be clearly seem in the sky, shoot through a red colored filter. As that will cut the blue light of the sky, and so the clouds will really stand out in Black & White! See this page to learn more: http://www.photographymad.com/pages/vie ... hotography Or see these videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ms6luc92tA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWm8197B2Yo By the way, I think these pictures are good enough to be entered into a photo competition! They will make perfect PC wallpapers, as well show up somewhere in print, like in advertising for example - Many agents of publishing houses are often found on the look out for new talent at amateur art and photo exhibitions. Therefore my advice it to give it a try! Even if you don't win anything, you'll still enjoy the healthy activity. Plus you'll also get to meet lots of new equality talented people too!
These are interesting pics, Donna. You got some interesting results with your settings. I very much liked the 4th one down. Y'know Donna, you ought to take trips more often.
Thanks all. More pic's coming. S-H, Thank you for the pat on the back and the web sites. I just might send in a few.
Great photos Donna, they brought me back to yesterday years. The one with the water wheel is my favourite too!
