Awww, it's so cute! :D We've got a bird looking like that here, but I've no idea what it might be called in English. Eileen - maybe you'll know?

I just love those little guys! This is the first winter that I saw any in my yard. No pictures though...they are quick!

Droopy we have a bird that is very similar to Wrennie's chickadee is called a Coal tit. I have them visiting my garden every day and they are a delight to watch. :stew1:

Here is a piccie of a chickadee and a coal tit so that you can see just how alike they are:

Chickadees are one of my favorites and they're so tame. They've landed on me while I was in the process of filling the birdfeeders!

Nice bird fotos, Wrennie. They are cute little things, aren't they? That woodpecker needn't have been so shy. Which kind of woodpecker was that, anyway?

Eileen's coal tit fotos were great or comparison. Well done, Eileen.

It's very nice to see the variety of birds, folks. Thanks so much.

SongofJoy we are always close to the tree where the feeders hang when we sit out in the evenings. When the feeders are empty I go with a handful of seed and they land on my hand to feed.(just the chickadees so far) Honestly I had about 5 shots with no bird before I got a couple good ones because they do move fast!

Sjoerd that is a female downy woodpecker.

Eileen the Coal tit IS very similar, wow! Thanks for the comparison pic!

I took this one yesterday. I was out and got pretty close to the feeder. They usually don't stay long enough for me to get a good pic, but I thought this one was pretty good.

They are such a nice little bird...I love the sound they make...so cheery. I just had one come about a week ago here. I captured him in the pergola...
