Black gold

    Numer one son helped me in the garden today and I showed him a gardeners black gold.

    He then corrected me and told me black gold is actually oil! I explained that to a gardener, the home made compost is much more valuable that any oil. You know, I think he actually got it and went on to help me bucket it up and mulch it around my fruit trees. :)

    Well done, number one son! I try to teach my girls the same, but they keep going "yuck" when we work with the compost.
