Stop counting those letters! The blackspot on my roses is worthy of every 4-letter word I know, as well some I have invented. I have sprayed fungicide all season at 7-day intervals, picked up infected leaves from 75 plants, and the rains come so it's all for naught. Living in the deep South where humidity is high and rains come all too frequently (except when they don't come at all) leaves my roses fungus-magnets. Mr. Lincoln is totally defoliated. Now where is the dignity in that for an ex-president? Pardon me. I vented and I feel better.

Yeah, hybrid Tea Roses have been jokingly called Black Spot on a Stick, they are very susceptible.

I would just trim them down to where there are no leaves affected and let them grow back. Sometimes that takes care of the problem.

I've heard that spraying the plants with milk can help to reduce back spot.
