This is one of my favorites taken this evening.

False sunflowers with golden Marguarite and one yarrow.

Perilla frutescens. Annual, vegetable, can be invasive.

    Hens and chicks flowers.

Two "hens" and chicks all around them.

A favorite container grouping. Red, white, blue solar light, pink zinnias in an old sprinkling can, mama "hen" and her chicks and several other hens and chicks containers.

I love that first photo with all the yellow. I'm beginning to realize that it's just about my favorite color for the garden(s).
At first I thought your Perilla was a "Persian Shield". Pretty leaves! (I bet Purple In Opp has some too).
Wow... those Hens & Chicks are cute. I have a couple pots with some in them... but not signs of blooming. I think they may need more room to spread out.
And what's this stuff called "rain" that you mentioned? :D

Last couldn't get it to rain. It has been easier to pull weeds. And they grow fast this year.

I like the photos of the Hens and chicks. I have seen them flower in the past.
