Good evening all. We're trying to make the most of some lovely, dry days. We've had rain both yesterday and today, so it was time to check the camera and sort through some photos.

Here are the girls' veggie patches:

We've got peas, beans, sweet peas, tall red sunflowers and small yellow sunflowers and carrots in different colours. The girls wanted white, yellow, orange and red carrots so I hope that's what we'll have. Red Brussels sprouts and pumpkins are almost ready to go outside. We've also got one potato in there. :D The girls were desperate for spring in mid-April so they decided to plant a potato indoors.

The north side is coming along nicely too:

My husband's busy making water features. This is the top half of his large project:

Even though we've lost lots of plants this winter, we've still got enough to make a nice spring show. :D

Great to see you back Droopy and with such great photographs.
What a change in the north side since I last saw it!! Lovely.
I lost a fair few plants last winter too but all my bulbs have put on a wonderful show this year so I'm still a happy bunny.

I think the water feature is exciting, the plants look great, it is unfortunate to loose plants to the cold of winter but their seeds bloom again or others take their place creating another community of flowers we can enjoy with the gentle breezes of summer.

Looking good Droopy! Gotta love that new "pond".
What's the name of the plant in the last photo? It looks like something a coworker just gave me... and she doesn't know what it's called.

Thanks all for comforting, kind words. :D Since we've been pushing hardiness I guess some loss is expected. I didn't expect to loose very hardy plants though, but barefrost and wind will do that.

    It's a Uvularia Cheryl. It's a native of North-America and I'm very pleased to have it. :D

Nice looking water feature your husband is creating, that will be great this summer for sitting near and enjoying the evening.

I sure know how the girls feel, anxious to get out and plant something!! I bought a geranium (paid way too much!) and put it on my desk at work! I needed some fresh dirt around me :D What is that first purple and yellow plant?? I love the water feature!

The girl's beds look really good. You can see that they had a good teacher. ;)

The north side is indeed coming along quite nicely. It looks like the jerico Wall Project is a success so far. It's looking VERRRY good.

Your man's water feature is looking really nice too. Did you ever sort out exactly what kind of plants you will stuff in the chinks? hahaha.

I hope that you guys will get some more decent weather so that things can progress and those kds can get things rolling in their respectuive garden plots.

Toni, I think most of our lost plants died because of not enough white stuff during hard freeze. :(

Philip, we've thought about it for approx. 14 years so it's time something happened there. :D

Stratsmom it's a Polygala chamaebuxus 'Grandiflora' Very pretty but tends to take over. I need to get rid of a square meter or so. :D

Sjoerd, thanks. :D I'll stuff them with moss for starters amd we'll see how it goes.
