Okay.. maybe I used too many exclamation points. But I had two sets of new blooms today!
The first that I saw was the Gazania that's still sitting in a pot.

And when I went around to the front of the house, I was greeted by these two little precious flowers on the Oxalis/Purple Shamrock.

Oooooh, flowers in December, lovely flowers in December. You just think you live in the northern hemisphere. You really live in an alternate universe where there is no winter. It's good that the surprises are making up for the long hot summer. Keep the pictures coming and spring will arrive sooner. :)

Beautiful blooms. My Scabios blooms all winter, the Pansies are going strong and all my Petunias are blooming like crazy.

Jerry, after last summer let's please not rush the return of warm weather so fast ;)

Such beautiful photographs. They go a long way in cheering up this Scot who's enduring a long, cold and flowerless winter. Many thanks.

Jerry... we have winter... it just comes a day at a time! Freezing one day.... 70s the next. :D

Toni... with the nice cooler weather, I had totally put the extreme hot days out of my mind. I know they'll be back , but I'm not in any hurry for them either.

Chocolate... I WISH I were in your neighborhood, then I'd have lots of stuff blooming instead of two!
Our climates must be pretty similar since we grow some of the same things.

Eileen... hang in there... Spring will get here before we know it! :stew2:

Sjoerd ... I think our plants were so happy to get a break from the broiling temps and lack of water, that they're all confused about what they should be doing! :-o

    Thanks everyone!

Cheryl, So very pretty! The Gazanias are so cheerful! It is a mild winter (so far) and so fun to have the growing season extended.

Very nice. Love that Gazania. Had it in the garden two years ago and it looked great.
I will buy some seedlings in spring.
