You had lovely blooms in April! I especially like the lily and foxglove. Our foxgloves bloom in late June/early July, depending on the temps, and the earliest lilies may start to bloom in a couple of weeks or so.
My foxgloves are in bud at the moment but I don't have the lovely white one you have Toni. Your April garden certainly had lots of wonderful blooms in it. Thanks for sharing them with us all.
Beautiful blooms Toni. Those things are blooming here now! I love your little version of Gardenstew ... those little Zinnia's are one of my favorite plants ... deer and bunnies don't eat them
Thanks you all for the nice words. Carolyn, the tag on the Petunias didn't specify a species. They are definitely my favorites this year. Droopy, There was one flower stem on the Foxglove that started growing back in October and slowly got taller all winter. Our winter was very warm so it started blooming really early, the first ones were in late Feb. Eileen, the Foxglove blooms have a very, very pale pinky/lavender inside but it fades as the bloom ages. Netty, the lillies are done for this year :'( there were a lot more in bloom in May...those photos will be posted soon. I wish I had gotten more of the zinnias, they are filling in the pot nicely now. Cheryl, I just realized that I have photos from as far back as January that I never posted either. Don't know what got into me this year. Donna, thanks. I really miss all those colors now that the summer slump has arrived.
Toni all very beautiful :-D But how much I liked Louisiana Gamecock Iris and May Night Salvia :-D perhaps because I have not in my collection :-D :-D
Beautiful! I love those Petunias too, that is a gorgeous blue color!! Um Netty, tell the bunnies they don't eat Zinnias... I planted 48 of those little beauties in a customers garden a few weeks ago, and when I was there a couple days ago, they had been chewed. Grrr They also devoured the Asiatic Lilies double Grrr
Toni,Flowers are beautiful. The petunia is Merlin Blue Morn. I didn't grow it this year but I love it. Will definitely get some next year. sewNsow
The Merlin Blue Morn is a pretty Petunia but that isn't what mine is. The Merlin has a lot of white with a blue rim mine is almost all a really deep Purple. The color may not look true from my camera or on monitors but blue it isn't
Toni, that petunia looks to be a bit larger than the Merlin Blue. I sure like it.Actually went looking for it today. Couldn't find a blue or purple with white but settled for a nice pink with white center. sewNsow
beautiful, toni! i was never fond of irises, but after seeing those beautiful little blue ones, i may have to change my mind!
