I've only seen a mulberry tree once, and it was tiny, but yours is so big and lovely! I adore the roses, especially the pink one. Your daughter is looking very sweet as always. Lovely girl. :D

Very lovely roses, WTD.I scroll back and forth between them. I especially like that orangy one. That climber looks like he wants to...erm... climb.......some more. :)
Your yard view looks so spaceous and nice-- full of possibilities. You'll have to continue showing us things as they bloom.
    Thanks for this posting.

    Sjoerd,
Rest assured, I am a prolific picture poster! I do have a large yard and lots of room for flora. I will certainly be posting more as stuff blooms.

I've lost to many to count and have given up. I have so enjoyed yours. You have a wonderful yard and your DD is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

    thanks

Thanks, folks. tschnath, I don't know what a DD is.

I have always loved a large yard and in these more sparsely-populated areas, it is pretty easy to have a big yard. My wife picked this house because it was bigger & newer than our old one and she figured, the big yard would get me to go along with buying it. I was intrigued by the size of the yard, but I never have liked the house. It was built in 1960, but from my point of view, it might as well have been built in 1860! It has never been updated and fixing stuff as it falls apart is keeping us from making any other changes to the house. Some walls have no electricity in them at all and I think the halls are too narrow & just about everything about it annoys me. I think it could be fixed up, but it'll take a while and some money. We bought in Winter & had no idea what shape the yard was in. The original owner lived here for over 40 years and in her old age, could not keep up. She had no children, so anything that was done was by neighbors. When Spring came in 2005, I was horrified by the amount of weeds germinating. I swear, if you spit on the ground in this yard, 20 weeds would germinate. I am still battling them, but there were some surprises: peonies, that blood lily and wisteria all over! I had to seed shade-loving grass under the trees - all we had was bare dirt (the sunny part is in bermuda grass, which won't grow in shade). I have been reluctant to use a pre-emergence killer, because I wanted to start flowers from seed & give the opportunity for stuff to seed itself. Doing so, however, enabled weeds to germinate like I've never seen before. I cannot tell you how many times I muttered under my breath, "I hate this place." It is more trouble than any yard I've ever owned. Perhaps some day it'll be acceptable to me, but my wife doubts it. Although it may be nicer now than a lot of other people's yards, it is not acceptable to me and there are parts of it, of which I'm ashamed. I just post pictures of the good stuff in here, you know. And my enjoyment of yard work does not mean that I judge other people on their yards. What other folks do in their yards is of no concern to me and I do not expect others to work like me. Gardening ain't for everybody. I don't play golf, I garden. My wife is a Garden widow, not a golf widow.

Sorry for the rant. At times, I just get so frustrated with this mess.

But we've gotten a little over 2 inches of rain in the past 24 hours, so watering is not a concern right now! We got a little hail too, but I had no damage that I saw.

DD = Darling Daughter I think. I can relate to your having to vent some steam occasionally. We're pretty much in the same situation here. The house is about as old as yours, the property is big, and we never manage to get it as we want it, but we're still working on it. Maybe someday...
