Here are some blooms from May 21, 2008:

    Shasta daisies - Alaska
    [IMG]

    Hibiscus
    [IMG]

    Gazanias
    [IMG]

Coneflower - sunrise, or sunburst - I forgot

We had thunderstorms build up in West Texas this evening, but they collapsed on themselves, raindrops evaporating before it could reach the ground, but it sent downburst winds that were as high as 70 mph. We looked up & saw this in the clouds. Looks like it's pouring stuff on us, huh?

Beautiful flowers. What a delight to see. That foto of the sky was impressive. Did anything fall out of it?

Oh I really like your flowers! The photo of the sky is pretty interesting. I don't think I have ever really seen something like that before. Although we do get some pretty dark clouds here. :)

All the flowers are great but I especially like the colors on the gazanias. The clouds are really neat as well. Thanks for sharing.

    clouds

The weather geeks on TV said, rain was falling, but it evaporated before reaching the ground (making it "verga"). The push downward caused air to come down too & we got winds up to 70 mph, according to the TV. That kicked up dirt and we had a mini-sand storm. It was all over in about 45 minutes. I had never seen clouds look like this either, so I grabbed the camera right quick & took a few shots. The clouds "pointing" down reminded me of the clouds in The Ten Commandments, when the Red Sea is split for the Hebrews to walk through.

I agree with you WTD...I have never seen clouds pointing downward, except to part the sea.
