This is the first time I have seen a real Blue Bird in Wisconsin. I have seen pictures but never the real thing. He came a couple days in a row, and I hope he comes back again.

Oh me too!! :D What lovely colours!! The only really blue bird I can think of here in Scotland is the kingfisher. I would love to have bluebirds visit me here.

Great pic Sherry. We are suppose to have blue birds here in ME also but I've never seen a real one either. Thanks for sharing him, he's beautiful.

Very good pic. I try so hard to get pics of the birds on our feeders but they can be so quick. Here in Vermont we have been lucky to see a pair of bluebirds. Very rare but wonderful when they show up. :stew1:

Awww, I wish we had blue birds. The closest thing we have are swallows. They are pretty, just not quite as delicate. I'm decorating my new dining room with the old blue bird china. Ever seen any? Cute with fluffy blue birds and flowers. Isn't there a nursery rhyme about the bluebird of happiness?

We have several nesting pairs on our land...

We own 7 acres of land that we eventually plan on building on, but right now it is a haven for wildlife. A former owner of the land had put up birdhouses in several spots and the bluebirds set up housekeeping.

My inlaws used to own a house near Wautoma (I see you're from WI, too) and had 4 families of bluebirds also in houses. Maybe put up some houses and see what moves in?

Hi Sherry, it's Martha from Birds & Blooms. I'm so happy you have a bluebird. Put up a house QUICK and maybe they will nest in your yard. My pair have started a second nest in our box. They are so fun to watch! I think I will like Garden Stew. I like how you can add your pics with your post. Enjoy Mr. Bluebird!

Your bluebird is beautiful. We have Cardinals but mostly we have Quail-----Tons of Quail!!!! I have the windows all open and they are shouting out there. I think they are funny and love to hear them. I have never seen a blue bird here in AZ though. Thanks for taking photos and sharing.
