Depending on how old that rhizome is, it might not have a name other than blue Iris or Blue Flag Iris. The older varieties were not named like the dozens and dozens of more modern cultivars have been. But there are several places on line that a google search for Blue Bearded Iris will come up with that you can search thru to see if you can identify it for certain.
