Well y’know that sunny monday was windless an nasty hot. I said that sunny monday was so windless bakin’ hot… But I pulled out the purple para an my straw hat helped a lot. Them bushes wuz all wrapped up, wrapped up from top to toe, Yeah, them bushes wuz all wrapped up, from their top down to their toe… Thuh berries wuz well blue, boy,—an we wuz good to go. We took thuh bushes one for one an picked ‘em good ‘n clean, We took them bushes one for one, and picked ‘em real good ‘n clean… My trug ‘uz fulla berries an thuh red ants got in my ole blue jeans. Here we have finished picking one bush: That cut-up onion bag is holding up well in the doorway of the greenhouse. We had another big tom harvest yesterday. Just a closer look at the blues: You can see the clean bush, its the one with its curtain pulled down. We picked four bushes in all, all except the first one were small ones, but gave-up a lot of fruit.
Cheers Loggie. It was indeed a good one. When we got home we immediately began processing the blueberries. We had picked three kilos we put up two of the kilos and froze one kilo for later. So far we have picked five kilos in total. It is a good year for the blues.
Yes it's a good year for blueberries, i freeze all mine to use on our breakfast cereal. And you are welcome.
@Sjoerd Oh that’s what that is a cut up onion bag serving as a screen for greenhouse. Very ingenious, recycling is always great. Not to sure how miss blueberry felt about her curtain pulled all the way down to her skivies.. It’s good picken’s for your blues this season. …
Yes that was a farmer’s onion drying bag. It is getting a second life. Haha…miss Blueberry Bush with her curtains down to her knickers. Haha. Good one, Pack. I am loving this blueberry harvest. I have a real weakness for them, Y’know. I wonder if I have bear DNA.
@Sjoerd Blueberries are the best. Well maybe second best to strawberries. You must have bear DNA who else would have such a huge impact on packing up blueberries and scarring the curtains off the blues at the same time.
