Not really junque, but the price was right...cheaper than I could make one myself. I am hoping to get it planted up this weekend. ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) Couldn't resist getting these rusted cast iron finials...don't know yet but they will come in handy at some point. ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) Funky shaped funnel that will be mounted on a pole and become a planter. ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) How many hours did I sit on one of these as a kid on the school playground...the seat from a glider on a swing set. Soon to be standing in the garden. ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) This I bought for $1 to put on a short stand among the flowers but I did some online searching and found a couple of them selling for about $50 each. I think it will replace the ceiling light globe over the kitchen sink instead. ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) These sewing machine drawers are going to be stands for jars of herbs in the kitchen. ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) This panel will have something decorative attached to it or painted on it and be placed in the shade bed....I think. ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) The planter is not sturdy enough for outdoor use but I think it will look good on the front porch. ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) I have tried using it as a watering can but it is too heavy when full and it's a sloppy pourer so it will become a planter. You have some fantastic finds there, Toni! I can just see those cast iron finials topping a long trellis, and the chair sitting in front of it. However, I think your ideas for your finds will be much better!
I've been patiently waiting to see what you got on your trip! Those finials are a great find! And I can kinda see a face on the swing seat. Great wooden items too. But I think my fav has to be that watering can... I've been keeping my eye out for a metal one. Now I'll patiently wait to see how you use them around your garden.
Wow! You got great stuff!!!! I'm going to try to do a little junque-ing this weekend!!!! I'm looking for short, vintage, metal or wire Fencing. and old doorknobs, and an old stool.....
Did the chair come complete with the birdhouse and 'garden' sign Toni? I love it!! I could make use of those finials too and the sewing drawers. Every time you go junquing you manage to find some really neat things. Now, like Cheryl I'm impatient to see what they all look like in your garden.
Some great finds there Toni. I like the planter boxes a lot. Will be interesting to see what you do with the swing seat!
I see a face on the swingset seat too. And I loved your pun about those finials having a 'point'. That watering can is purrrrfect! The flowered planter is lovely too. It would make a handy cady for spare TP in the loo also.
Wow, great finds! I can totally see a face painted on that glider seat peeking out from your garden! I love everything you scored. I wish my area had junque like that!
Hey nice finds, I can't wait to see the outcome either..... I've been wanting a old watering can for awhile.... your sooo lucky
I love your finds! For what it's worth, I have been visiting a website online called fleamarketgardening.org. It's a website that has lots of ideas on how to incorporate your finds into your garden. I enjoy seeing all the new ideas they come up with, and you can submit your projects too.
