Got my first Early Girl tomato this morning! I hadn't looked at them all last week, but this morning I went out to take a look and there was this nice red mater looking at me!

    Yay for you.

Did you know there is a tomato called "the forth of July"? It is an excellent small (salad sized) tomato. We grow it every year. It is hard to get it by the 4th, but I did pick a few off of the outside plant the other day. I planted them out in April and kept them under a row cover until the end of May...That is the only way to get them by the 4th, though.
